Nova Power
The major event of the FDC’s promotional initiative “Hong Kong Film New Action” in 2018 was the “Nova Power”. Nova Power was organised by the FDC and CreateHK, co-organised by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), Hong Kong Film Arts Association (HKFAA) and Association of Motion Picture Post Production Professionals (AMP4) and supported by Hong Kong Film Awards Association.
The Project aimed to nurture ten new film artistes (from the First Feature Film Initiative (FFFI) winning films) and enhance their star quality by image building and etiquette training as well as to provide a platform for five fashion designers (from Fashion Incubation Programme of HKDC) and five costume designers (from HKFAA) to showcase their talent in fashion design.
Ms Tina LIU, Vice Chairman of HKFAA and Creative Director of Nova Power, designed new images of the ten new artistes for photo display and Virtual Reality (VR) video clips in the booth of FDC and CreateHK during FILMART. A brochure including the image photos and interviews of the artistes was also distributed in the booth.
In addition, the five fashion designers and five costume designers designed and tailored the outfits and accessories of the ten artistes to attend the Red Carpet event of the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards.
