Action Power: Stunt & Vfx Workshop
The major event of the FDC’s promotional initiative “Hong Kong Film New Action” in 2017 was the “Action Power: Stunt & Vfx Workshop” (the Workshop). The Workshop was organised by the FDC and CreateHK, and co-organised by the Hong Kong Productivity Council, Hong Kong Stuntman Association, Association of Motion Picture Post Production Professionals and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
The Workshop was held on 11 & 12 March 2017 to engage film industry practitioners from Belt & Road countries and regions in the production of an action-packed film footage from planning to post-production stages.
A seminar was held on 12 March 2017 where veteran action directors, action choreographers, cinematographers and digital visual effects experts shared their valuable experiences in the making of action films, and guests from Belt & Road countries and regions talked about the current situations and development of the film industry of their respective countries or regions.
A pavilion was also set up during FILMART to showcase the expertise of the stunt action and post production services of Hong Kong.
