Hong Kong Film New Action – Film Facilitation and Production Services in the Pearl River Delta Region
The “Hong Kong Film New Action - Film Facilitation and Production Services in the Pearl River Delta Region” was the major event of the FDC’s promotional initiative “Hong Kong Film New Action” in 2016. The event was organised by the FDC and CreateHK, and co-organised by the Administration of Press & Publication, Radio, Film & Television of Guangdong Province and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government.
The project was held in two phases. The networking event “Briefing on Guangdong-HK-Macao Film Production Services cum Networking Luncheon” held on 28 October 2015 aimed to bring film industry practitioners from the three places together and to nurture partnerships.
Seminars and networking activities held during “FILMART 2016” from 14 to 17 March 2016 aimed to publicise the competitive edges of the film facilitation and production services in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, with a view to enhancing regional collaboration and branding the Pearl River Delta Region as a film production hub.
In addition, a press conference was organised by the FDC and CreateHK during FILMART 2016 to announce the launch of the 3rd First Feature Film Initiative and its Facebook fanpage.
The “Hong Kong Film New Action - Film Facilitation and Production Services in the Pearl River Delta Region” included four activities:

- “Hong Kong Film New Action - Film Facilitation and Production Services in the Pearl River Delta Region” Pavilion
- “Magic Makes Movie – Film Facilitation and Production Services in the Pearl River Delta Region” Opening Ceremony and Seminars
- Press Conference on the “3rd First Feature Film Initiative”
