Hong Kong Film New Action - Idea‧Action‧Your NEXT
The “Hong Kong Film New Action - Idea‧Action‧Your NEXT” was the major event of the FDC’s promotional initiative “Hong Kong Film New Action” in 2013. There were two phases. The first phase of the promotional events were organised by the FDC and CreateHK, and co-organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers and the Hong Kong Movie Production Executives Association. It was held concurrently with “FILMART 2013” on 14-21 March 2013. By organising a series of seminars, workshops and project pitching activities, the event provided new generation filmmakers with sharing in film financing, market promotion and film administration, as well as training in film project development and pitching. In addition, an exhibition was held to promote nurturing talents for the local film industry and Hong Kong’s advantages in entering the Guangdong film market.
The second phase of the promotional events were organised by the FDC and CreateHK, and co-organised by the Hong Kong Movie Production Executives Association. It was held on two consecutive weekends of 20-21 and 27-28 July 2013. By organising a series of seminars conducted by established filmmakers, together with their experience sharing, the event provided those aiming to become film directors or filmmakers with some basic knowledge of the filmmaking process and operation of the film business.
