The film, starring Teresa Mo, Keung To and Jer Lau, portrays the problems encountered by a middle-aged woman shouldering three different roles as a mother, wife and successful career woman, and how she eventually repairs the relationship with her family.

The Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Development Council, Dr Wilfred Wong, said, "'Mama's Affair' is full of positive energy and features a popular cast. It is believed that the film will be attractive to and resonate with audiences."

He added, "The Government will continue to boost local productions of a variety of genres through the FDF in order to promote the film sector's long-term development."

Since 2005, the Government has injected a total of $1.54 billion into the FDF to support a number of film production projects and other film-related projects. Since 2007, the FDF has financed 57 film projects, involving total funding of about $216.57 million.
