The first ever Guangdong Film Festival will be held from 8 to 12 October 2014 in Hong Kong. It is co- organised by the Press, Publication, Radio, Film and TV Administration of Guangdong Province (廣東省新聞出版廣電局) and the Hong Kong Film Development Council, supported by Create Hong Kong and Hong Kong Motion Picture Industry Association.
During the film festival period, a total of six films financed or co-financed by Guangdong investors will be screened at Agnes b. cinema of Arts Centre in Wanchai and Hong Kong Film Archive in Sai Wan Ho. Admission is open to public for free. The schedule of the film screenings is attached.
A special screening of film titled “女生宿舍” produced by Guangdong film production company will be conducted at on 10 October 2014 at WLB103, The Wing Lung Bank Building for Business Studies, Shaw Campus, Hong Kong Baptist University. The screening is followed by a seminar to be attended by speakers representing the film industry of Guangdong Province, offering a valuable opportunity to exchange with the Guangdong film industry.
